MOLESTED DIVINITY - Unearthing The Void

Turkey continues to churn out great bands on the extreme metal scene. The four members of Molested Divinity come from Ankara, authors of an excellent brutal death metal. Their Unearthing The Void album, produced by Slam Worldwide and released on March 25, 2020 via New Standard Elite, has been available on youtube bya few hours.
We listened to its carefully and we can tell you that the album is definitely valid. The excruciating screams that are constantly heard during the songs give the work an even more sinister and deviant flavor. Congratulations, therefore, to singer Batu Cetin. The rhythmic part is spectacular, with Emre Üren who has dedicated himself to guitars and bass and with Berk Köktürk to beat the drums with frantic energy.
The songs follow one another and our heads cannot stand still. Impossible not to indulge in constant headbanging. The main advantage of the songs is to avoid one of the most common mistakes in brutal death metal: repetitiveness. While never abandoning the canons of the genre, there is never the feeling of déjà-vu that often oppresses productions of this type.
In conclusion, we feel we can give this album top marks and we are ready to bet on the putrid and rotten future of Molested Divinity.

DAELKYR - Eternal Decay

Sinister sounds and desperate anger come from Turkey during this quarantine period.
We are talking about Eternal Decay, full EP of the Turkish band Daelkyr, originally from Antalya, which was released on March 24, 2020 and which appeared on youtube two days later. A very interesting album, technically well played and well produced, ideal for Black Metal lovers.
The first song, As the Fog Rises, introduces us to the sulphurous world of Daelkyr. Nice riffing, solid rhythmic structure, wide range of emotions.
The second song, the title track Eternal Decay, amazes us with the melodic parts and the overall balance of the song.
Then it's Gray Inferno: speed and technique are the masters and the song grows gradually, after a not very convincing start.
The Daelkyr EP ends with the song Ritual of Existence: a piece full of nuances, technically well played and able to displace the listener.
In conclusion, we can say that Eternal Decay has convinced us very much. The Daelkyr must absolutely continue to trample angrily on the path they are on now!
